DMCA / Copyright Infringement Policy

Zeroneo Studio, developer of the Cove mobile application (the “App”), respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. This policy describes the procedure for reporting alleged copyright infringement, in accordance with Section 512 of the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”) and comparable international frameworks.

Our Approach

The App’s “save web resource” feature is intended for legitimate uses (saving personal content, public domain material, or content for which the user has rights or permission). To minimize the risk of misuse:

1. We maintain a domain blocklist covering major content platforms; the saving feature is not enabled on those pages.
2. We respond to all valid DMCA notices within 24 hours by adding the reported domain to our blocklist (effective immediately via remote blocklist update, and permanently in the next app release).
3. The App does not provide a centralized media library or sharing mechanism; all saves are to the user’s local device storage only.

Filing a DMCA Notification

If you believe that content accessible through the App infringes your copyright, please send a written notification containing the following information to our designated agent:

1. Your contact information: full name, physical address, phone number, and email address.
2. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or if multiple works, a representative list.
3. Identification of the infringing activity: the specific domain(s) or URL(s) where users can access the allegedly infringing content through the App (e.g., https://example-video-site.com). We cannot act on notices referring only to individual files without domain context.
4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notification is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
6. Your physical or electronic signature.

What Happens After You Submit a Notice

Within 24 hours of receiving a complete and valid DMCA notice:

1. We acknowledge receipt via email.
2. We add the reported domain(s) to our remote blocklist. Domain blocking takes effect on end-user devices at the next regular blocklist sync (typically within hours).
3. We include the domain in the App’s built-in blocklist in the next App Store release (permanent).

Counter-Notification

If you believe content has been wrongly added to our blocklist (e.g., your content is authorized, fair use, or the notice was submitted in error), you may submit a counter-notification containing:

1. Your contact information and electronic or physical signature.
2. Identification of the blocklisted domain(s) in question.
3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the material was blocklisted as a result of mistake or misidentification.
4. Your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which you reside, or, if outside the United States, any judicial district where Zeroneo Studio may be found; and an agreement to accept service of process from the party who filed the original DMCA notice or their agent.

Repeat Infringers

We do not host user-submitted content, but in the event of repeated bad-faith DMCA notices or counter-notices, we reserve the right to restrict further communication and report abuse to relevant authorities.

Submitting a DMCA notice is a legal declaration. Knowingly materially misrepresenting infringement may result in liability under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
